Krispy Kreme Doughnut Fundraiser

posted in: Special events | 0

Hi all,

Our squadron is doing a fundraiser with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to raise money for squadron activities.  We’re asking members to speak to their family, friends and co-workers and take as many orders as you can.  The doughnuts are the Original Glazed and we’re selling them for $7.50 a dozen.  Orders will be delivered to the squadron during our meeting on Dec 20th.

The order form is in the link below.  Completed orders can either be brought to the meeting this Tuesday, or emailed to 2d Lt Flynn by Friday, Dec 16th.  Money is due when the doughnuts are delivered on the 20th.  If you have any questions, please email 2d Lt Flynn at flynntomj@gmail.com or ask at this Tuesday’s meeting.

Thank you!

Orientation Flight Opportunity

posted in: Special events | 0

Cadets,

Our group, Catskill Mountain Group, will be conducting the following O-Flights:

Friday, 19 August at 9 am
Tuesday, 23 August at 1 pm

If you have at least your Curry award (C/Amn) and are interested, please email at Maj Pimpiano with your Name & Grade, Weight, CAPID and Syllabus # (1 if this is your first flight).

Example:

Sir, I would be interested in participating on 19 August.

Name:  C/Amn John Smith
Weight:  150 lbs
CAPID:  123123
Syllabus #:  1

O-Flights leave out of Orange County Airport, Montgomery, NY.  Every cadet sits for about an hour in the front seat, while two others sit in the back.  Because of this, the flights typically take at least 3 hours but can go longer, so plan accordingly.  Please bring water and a snack.  A lounge is available for parents to wait in, if they’d like.  Uniform is BDUs or ABUs – no civilian clothes.

Please reply asap – those who reply sooner, will be considered first for selection.  Cadets who have not had an O-Flight yet will be given priority.  Additional information will be sent out to those responding.

To All Cadets, Parents and Staff,

On behalf of the NY-030 Squadron Commander and myself I want to apologize for the miscommunication that occurred with the Community Day event today.  We take full responsibility, and I want to assure everyone that this WILL NOT happen again and my staff and I are in the process of creating a Communication Officer position so that we can get information out to the Cadets as well as the parents in a timely manner and an Activities Officer position who’s sole purpose will be to organize all events in the future.  I want to assure everyone that this is not how we conduct business here at Squadron NY-030 and that in the future we will make sure that we get information out to all in a timely and professional manner.  If you have any further questions or concerns you may contact me at 718-678-5221.  Thank you for your understanding, and your continued support to our Squadron.

Very Respectfully,
