Greetings,
Attached is a google form for a squadron assessment. Using the Stop, Start, Continue method – I would like you all to take the time to fill out an honest assessment of your unit. I want you to evaluate everything the unit does and tell me if we should stop doing it, continue doing it, or start doing something new.
This is a perfect opportunity for you to be able to tell us what you think of the program. I am also curious to hear about suggestions for new things to do.
Please click here to access the assessment form.
Thank you for your time and dedication to this program!
1st Lt Michael Mazanec

All,
Our squadron has started a google calendar that will regularly be updated with all events and functions we participate in. To add this calender, please click here.

Applications for all cadet staff positions are now open. In order to provide all cadets with the opportunity to serve in staff positions, we regularly open the application process for cadets to apply. All cadets at or above the grade of C/SrA are invited to apply. Cadets should apply for positions appropriate for their grade and experience level. Cadets currently serving in a staff position should submit an application for the same position they currently hold if they want to remain in that position.
The link to apply is HERE. This is a Google Form. A Google (Gmail) account is required to access this form. If any cadet is unable to obtain a Google account or needs technical assistance, they should contact 1st Lt Kuliszewski as soon as practical at ezra.kuliszewski@ny030.org.
All,
We are looking for suggestions for a squadron nickname and logo.
Here is a form you can use to submit your ideas. If you have more then one, just submit the form again. If you’d like to submit a graphic file, please just email it to me.

Cadets,
Below is a link to a form to submit anonymous feedback on how the squadron is doing and/or for suggestions on how we can improve. Please be constructive and respectful in your comments!
We will have a session this Tuesday for cadets to discuss suggestions, concerns, or questions with the senior cadet staff as well. Please take the time to let your voice be heard, either online, at the meeting, or both!

Cadets,
If you’ve attended encampment, you’re eligible to attend a National Cadet Special Activity (NCSA) this summer. NCSAs are a fantastic opportunity to learn more about aviation, engineering, leadership, emergency services, honor guard, cyber-defense, pararescue and survival, and many other things. If you haven’t attended encampment, plan on attending this summer to take advantage of winter and future summer NCSAs.
Applications must be completed through eServices by Jan 15th to be considered for priority placement. If you’re intending on applying or have any questions about NCSAs, please let 2d Lt Flynn know asap at deb.flynn@ny030.org. The link to NCSAs can be found on the bottom of eServices pages and is also below:

Cadets,
The deadline to apply for Academic, Flight, and the new Youth Aviation Initiative scholarships is Jan 15th. Applications are done through the CadetInvest link in your eServices account. All scholarships require completion of encampment, so if you haven’t been, make plans to attend this summer! Below are links to the scholarship main page and the three categories of scholarships.

Below is a poster that outlines the YAI program:
Cadets: The cut-off date to register for this year’s winter RCLS (Region Cadet Leadership School) in CT is 15 Dec 2018, and only 12 seats are left. RCLS is designed for Cadet Officers to learn new skills and knowledge they need to be more effective leaders in their home squadrons and wings. There are only two sessions held a year in the Northeast Region, and the next session is scheduled for the summer of 2019 in Massachusetts. Cadets must be a graduate of either Cadet Officer School in AL or a Region Cadet Leadership School to earn the Eaker Award.
As discussed at tonight’s meeting, here is the organization chart for the squadron. The print in the image is small, so it may be helpful to view the image full-screen and zoom in.
All cadets familiarize yourselves with your flight and element assignments. Ensure that you have contact information for your element leader and flight staff. Any questions or issues contact your flight staff or email me directly at ezra.kuliszewski@ny030.org
